Education and professional activities
Dr. Bastos was majored in Biomedicine at the Sao Paulo State University - Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1995), received her Master’s degree in Tropical Diseases at the same university (2001), and achieved her doctoral degree in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) at the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2006). She is an Assistant Professor at Guarulhos University, and participates in the Post-graduate Program in Dentistry, as well as in the under-graduate course in Dentistry. Dr. Bastos is also a member of the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee.
Research interests
Dr Bastos’ major research interests are on Immunology and Molecular Biology applied to studies on the pathogenesis of periodontal and peri-implantar diseases. She is very experienced on animal experimental models.
