Aluna de doutorado Victória Abdo do PPGO-UNG recebe o prêmio IADR Implantology Research Group Young Investigator Prize for Student Research Award (Basic Research). O estudo foi orientado pelo prof. João Gabriel, tendo como colaboradores os professores Jamil Shibli, Magda Feres, Valentim Barão (Unicamp) e Martinna Bertolini (University of Pittsburgh); e os alunos Raphael Costa (Unicamp) e Fábio Azevedo (UNG).
O trabalho intitulado “Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Modulates Implant-Related Polymicrobial Biofilms” avaliou o efeito de abutment contendo pulso eletromagnético e seu efeito em modular a composição microbiana de biofilmes formados in vitro e in situ.

The PhD student Victória Abdo from PPGO-UNG was awarded the IADR Implantology Research Group Young Investigator Prize for Student Research Award (Basic Research). The authors of the study include the supervisor, prof. João Gabriel, and the collaborators: Dr. Jamil Shibli, Dr. Magda Feres, Dr. Valentim Barão (Unicamp) and Dr. Martinna Bertolini (University of Pittsburgh); and students Raphael Costa (Unicamp) and Fábio Azevedo (UNG).
The study entitled “Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Modulates Implant-Related Polymicrobial Biofilms” evaluated the effect of a healing abutment containing an electromagnetic pulse and its effect on modulating the microbial composition of biofilms formed in vitro and in situ.
