Prof. Murilo Feres – DDS, MSc, PhD

Education and Professional Activities

Dr. Feres is an orthodontist, received his Master degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the Pontific Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), and his Doctor degree in Medical Sciences from the Federal University of Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Dr. Feres has a Post-doctoral Fellowship from the University of Alberta (Canada). He is the director of the Post-graduate Program in Orthodontics at Guarulhos University (Brazil).  

Research Interests

Her main research field is the Evidence-based Dentistry, with great emphasis on the performance of systematic reviews on Orthodontics. Other areas of research include: translational research, otolaryngology-related topics, craniofacial growth, and interceptive and preventive orthodontic treatment.

Other highlights

Dr. Feres is a member of the scientific committee of the most important dental meeting in Latin America (Sao Paulo International Dental Meeting). In addition, he is an Associate Editor of the Revista da APCD (Brazil) and a reviewer of important journals, such as the International Dental Journal, Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics, European Journal of Orthodontics, and the Angle Orthodontist.
