Education and Professional Activities

Dr. Nahás Scocate is an Orthodontist (Certificate, MSc and Ph.D in Orthodontics by Bauru Dental School, University of São Paulo), and has a Post-doctoral Degree in Molecular Biology from Federal University of São Paulo (SP, Brazil). She is the Coordinator for Professional Master’s Program in Orthodontics at Guarulhos University (SP, Brazil).

Dr. Nahás Scocate is a reviewer of several Scientific Journals in the area of Orthodontics, including the Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics, Associate Scientific Editor of the SPO Journal and is part of the Editorial Scientific Council of the APCD Journal.

Research Interests

His main field of research is the diagnosis and orthodontic and orthopedic treatment of malocclusions, with great emphasis on the orthodontic treatment of adult patients with periodontal problems. Other areas of research include: craniofacial growth and development, cephalometric study, in vitro study of orthodontic materials, and diagnosis using cone beam computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging.
