About the Program
The Postgraduate Program in Dentistry at Guarulhos University comprises three areas of concentration: Periodontics, Dentistry and Implantology.
Clinical and theoretical credits are offered, with active student participation in seminars and scientific debates. The development of logical reasoning, interpretation of scientific studies and skills to solve problem situations related to clinical and laboratory studies are highly valued during the two years of the course.
The student has the opportunity to debate on several current topics, but also on those fundamental to the formation of modern professionals, such as research and scientific development and higher education in contemporary society.
An important characteristic of the course is the possibility for the student to develop part of the research in a foreign educational institution, through our consolidated agreements with universities and international research institutes. The main collaboration agreements for student exchange are with the Forsyth Institute, a renowned research center affiliated with to Harvard University (USA) and Universitá Degli Studi di Chieti (Italy).
Duration
Master's Degree: 2 years (4 semesters). The forth semester is dedicated to research training and the elaboration and defense of the dissertation.
PhD: 3 to 4 years (6 to 8 semesters). The last year is dedicated to research training and the elaboration and defense of the dissertation.
