Education and Professional Activities
Dr. Hélio Doyle holds a BS in Statistics from the University of Brasilia, UnB (2005), with a specialization in Statistics Applied to Biology and Health Sciences from the Master's Program in Biostatistics at the University of Lisbon, Portugal (2008). He has a research degree from the Department of Statistics of the Doctoral Program at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2011) and PhD in Statistics from the Department of Medicine of the University of Barcelona, Spain (2016).
Due to the hybrid technical-scientific training (Health Sciences/Statistics) has the capacity to act as professor/researcher in the areas of knowledge related to human health, which includes Dentistry. He is currently Associate Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry, in the areas of Periodontics, Implant Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University of Guarulhos (Brazil). Reviewer: International Dental Journal.
Research Interests
His recent field of research is in the development and application of random effects Bayesian models for the estimation of parameters performance (validity, reliability and accuracy) of multiple and repeated clinical diagnostic tests in the absence of gold standard. Another field of effective action is in the application of the statistical methods to different projects related to the dental sciences in general.
