Education and Professional Activities
Dr. Rodrigues received his DDS degree in 1997 from the Piracicaba School of Dentistry, Campinas State University, Brazil. He also received his Masters (1999) and PhD degrees (2003) in Restorative Dentistry from the Piracicaba School of Dentistry, Campinas State University, Brazil, has a Post-doctoral Research in Restorative Dentistry from University of Florida. He is the Vice Dean for Dental Research and Graduate Educations and a full-time professor (restorative dentistry department) at Guarulhos University (SP, Brazil).
He is member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), and the IADR Dental Materials Research Group, Member of IADR Brazilian division (SBPqO).
His main research fields are dental bleaching effects on dental hard tissues and dental caries, with great emphasis on in vitro and in situ studies. Other areas of research include composite resins, ceramics and dental implants.
He has received several Research Grants from the São Paulo State Research Foundation (FAPESP) and from and published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals on restorative and implantology issues. The CNPq have granted his a scholarship of productivity in research since 2014, recognizing his research activities.
